Questionnaire Survey 
Location: The female toilet in the library of monash university caulfield campus 

Since neither my friends nor i had ever been threatened in the train, and there were few examples to refer to, i made a questionnaire. In the survey, nearly 90 percent of women had encountered harassment or threats on the train,  and most of them were at night. The main reasons make them fell uncomfortable or threatened were that they were the only  women in the carriage, that drunk men or groups of men were sitting around her,  and that it was too dark around the station.  According to the survey results, in the subsequent design, i added a large number of glass skylight elements to make the whole carriage and platform more bright and transparent.


Train Design Concept
The whole carriage is inspired by the "circle".

In ancient china, the circle was an important cultural symbol. It represents harmony, the balance of the yin and yang and the duality of nature, which is an essential part of daoist and Chinese medical philosophies. 

A perfect circle is almost impossible to produce by unaided human hands, and is why i think the shape was valued so much. In Chinese culture, the circle stands for “fulfilled”, “oneness”, “perfection”, “unity”.



myki cards are designed to screen out vulnerable groups that do not meet the definition of myki card, and then protect those who do. 


The criteria for myki card application are as follows: 

1. Female identity card or proof of non-binary identity. 

2. Persons of any gender who are older than 65 and younger than 12 on their identity cards. 

3. Medical proof of wheelchair use for more than one year (of any gender).

The carriages were designed to be used only by women to protect their safety. However, when looking for information, it is found that many people will encounter some difficulties when taking public transport. For example, disabled people and mothers with strollers are often occupied because of a lack of space. Old people also encounter difficulties because of their lack of mobility.
